Composes Poem to Commemorate Appearance of Hendrix from Astral Plane

Huntington Majors, Balrog of Boom, and newly ordained as Mahavishnu by Jimi Hendrix's cosmic spirit, has composed a poem in honor of his transformation into a new level of cosmic being. The poem is called Eagle of Decibels.

Eagle of Decibels

Fly, Eagle of Decibels
From Lost Atlantis
Raise your sonic wail
From distant Astral Realms
Stomp your Frankenstein loudness

Eagle of Decibels
Rule the wailing world of boom.

Now, waves part,
Waters of Ocean recede
Upward riseth a vision,
Shimmering with mist

A mighty guitar
Crackling with bolts
Of lunatic static.

Behold! Lords of Metal
Rise and scream.
Listen! Electric gods
Wail insanely.

Steel gongs crash
Beneath hammers of
Dazed sonic thunder

 

Heavy axes fall with
Savage grace
Volcanic jets on the
Surface of Mars
Erupt blazing purple noise

Horns of angels blare
From the booming speakers
Of electrified amps

Demonic fingers pluck
The biting steel of Time itself
And make it bend, releasing
Dinosaurs from the hold of doom
To pound the dented frets of Eternity.

Behold! The Henge of Atlas
Turns in celestial orbits
Listen! Stone ruins, stacked
with giant speakers vanish
Beneath flaming waves of lava

Carthage, Tyre, Leptis Magna
All destroyed!
Axes of power, shift
Magnetic poles crumble to dust
As pickups blow and strings melt
Like the wax wings of fabled Icarus!

Sonic Atlantis alone has risen!
Eagle of Decibels, fly on, fly on!
Scream your amplified yawp
At deranged electric skies!
